Regression
Regression is a guided meditation for exploring deeper layers of the psyche through images, memories, emotions and experiences.
A person turns to the past when it stands in the way of the future.
Returning to the past
Regression turns attention to experiences that may lie behind our present feelings, reactions and recurring life situations. Depending on the theme, the experience may take us back to early moments in life, to more distant memories, or to experiences we associate with past lives.
Images, symbols, sensations and various inner experiences may arise in the process. They need not be taken literally — what matters is what they mean to us and what they can help us understand about ourselves.
Themes that can be explored
-
Relationships with those closest to us
How we experience our closest relationships and what recurring dynamics we notice in them.
-
The choices we make
What lies behind recurring choices and life situations.
-
Recurring themes
Which experiences, emotions or life situations keep appearing again and again.
-
Emotional blocks
What may lie behind fears, inhibitions or strong emotional reactions that are hard to explain.
Regression can be directed both towards experiences from the present life and childhood, and towards symbolic or spiritual experiences, depending on personal beliefs and the theme of the meeting.
